We celebrated my brother-in-law's birthday tonight at our favorite revolving sushi restaurant, and we had so much fun! And, of course, there were plenty of new things to try, though the official First for today is warabimochi, a Jello-like substance covered in toasted soy powder that doesn't really look very appealing and feels very odd in the mouth, which is meant to be a dessert. I didn't actually dislike it, but I don't feel like I need to have it again. Yay for Firsts and good times with family!
